Operations Manager - Grand Rapids, Michigan

Operations Manager โ€“ Michigan Small Loan Industry

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Operations Manager in the small loan industry in Michigan. The Operations Manager will lead efforts to identify business opportunities, while concurrently managing the development of a robust operational infrastructure to support the needs of the business, its clientele and its vendor base. This position is responsible for all aspects of the business, including financial performance, profitability, marketing, operations, client service, and reporting.

Daily responsibilities include the following:

  • Oversee performance of 15 payday loan branches located in Michigan, Missouri and Indiana, together with a team of 3 Senior Managers
  • Continuing to evaluate and execute the strategic plan guiding the direction of the Business
  • Managing operational priorities; to supervising development efforts in order to implement systems and processes to support business requirements, including rolling updates and enhancements
  • Managing budget for the business, identify sales and efficiency goals, and define metrics to evaluate success
  • Direct management of products and product development, marketing activities and sales processes aimed at increasing profits through new business development and customer retention
  • Oversight of internal and external systems and vendors that provide key functionality for the business to ensure key capabilities are prioritized, sequenced, and delivered to meet business goals
  • Managing relationships with merchants and service providers to guarantee commitments and safeguard business reputation
  • Supervisory responsibilities including planning/assigning/directing work, and evaluating key participants to ensure a cohesive team that is able to function efficiently
  • Maintaining awareness of changes in the competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, and any potential internal or 'external concerns.
