Job description

ServicePoint IT is a leading enterprise-scale IT services provider specializing in advanced technology solutions and scalable infrastructure that enable AI and digital transformation from the data center to the edge.
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to serve as a critical operational leader responsible for coordinating people, projects, resources, vendors, and business processes across a designated region.

Reporting directly to the Regional Director, the Operations Manager acts as the operational hub of the business—ensuring the right people, materials, equipment, and resources are aligned to support successful project execution. This role requires strong organizational skills, business acumen, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while driving operational excellence, financial accountability, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who understands workforce planning, project coordination, procurement, vendor management, financial reporting, operational performance metrics, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
  • Serve as the primary operational coordinator for regional projects, resources, and business activities.
  • Partner with the Regional Director to execute operational strategies and achieve regional business objectives.
  • Serve as the operational counterpart to Senior Project Managers, ensuring operational support functions align with project execution goals.
  • Coordinate project staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and deployment activities.
  • Ensure operational processes are followed consistently across teams and projects.
  • Standardize regional operational processes and promote best practices that improve scalability, efficiency, and quality.
  • Drive accountability across cross-functional teams to ensure operational commitments are met.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence, resource utilization, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
Workforce Planning & Team Management
  • Directly manage Regional Project Coordinators, including workload distribution, coaching, performance management, and professional development.
  • Establish standardized operational processes for Regional Project Coordinators to ensure consistency and accountability across the region.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and field leadership to forecast hiring needs and support workforce planning initiatives.
  • Monitor labor utilization, staffing levels, workforce productivity, and future resource requirements.
  • Assist with employee relations, performance discussions, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Track employee training, certifications, licensing, and compliance requirements to ensure workforce readiness and support business operations.
Project & Resource Coordination
  • Maintain visibility into active projects, schedules, milestones, and regional resource requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects are staffed and supported appropriately.
  • Coordinate internal employees and partner labor assignments to ensure projects are staffed based on customer requirements, certifications, schedules, and budget.
  • Develop short- and long-term regional resource forecasts based on project pipeline and business demand.
  • Track project progress and proactively address scheduling conflicts or resource constraints.
  • Identify operational risks related to staffing, scheduling, procurement, or customer commitments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Support Project Managers and Regional Leadership in resolving customer escalations, operational issues, and resource conflicts.
  • Facilitate communication between Operations, Project Management, Talent Acquisition, Procurement, Engineering, Sales, and field teams.
Vendor & Contract Management
  • Manage vendor relationships and support strategic vendor programs.
  • Coordinate subcontractor engagement, partner labor performance, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with contract administration, renewals, scope changes, and service agreements.
  • Monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations and operational expectations.
Procurement & Logistics
  • Oversee procurement activities, including material orders, equipment requests, rental coordination, and inventory management.
  • Partner with Procurement and Regional Project Coordinators to ensure all material, equipment, rental, and labor orders are processed accurately and delivered in support of project schedules.
  • Ensure materials and equipment are available to support project timelines.
  • Partner with suppliers and vendors to optimize purchasing processes and control costs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend purchasing strategies.
Financial & Business Operations
  • Review and understand regional P&L performance and operational financial metrics.
  • Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and cost management initiatives.
  • Review and approve regional overtime requests while balancing customer commitments, labor utilization, operational efficiency, and cost management objectives.
  • Monitor labor costs, project expenses, and operational expenditures.
  • Oversee the regional customer billing process by coordinating with Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Finance, and customers to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Support invoice reconciliation, reporting, and financial performance reviews.
  • Ensure financial documentation, billing support, and project cost information are complete and submitted in accordance with company standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Sales & Pre-Sales Support
  • Partner with Sales and Engineering during the pre-sales cycle to support RFP responses, labor planning, resource forecasting, and project estimates.
  • Validate operational readiness, staffing availability, and execution strategies for new business opportunities.
  • Provide operational insight to improve estimate accuracy, scheduling assumptions, and project execution planning.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and Engineering to support customer presentations and operational planning for strategic opportunities.
Reporting & Performance Management
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Monitor regional workforce utilization, overtime trends, partner labor performance, training compliance, billing cycle metrics, and operational KPIs.
  • Analyze operational performance, staffing trends, project health, and financial metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Present operational insights, recommendations, and business performance updates to executive leadership.

Qualifications Required
  • 5+ years of operations management, project coordination, workforce management, or business operations experience.
  • Experience leading teams within a fast-paced service, construction, technology, field services, or data center environment.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities while supporting regional operations and project execution.
  • Strong understanding of workforce planning, scheduling, procurement, vendor management, and resource allocation.
  • Experience supporting financial reporting, budgets, forecasting, labor utilization, and P&L analysis.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships with Operations, Project Management, Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Talent Acquisition.
  • Travel required to support regional operations, project sites, customer meetings, and business initiatives.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and operational best practices.
  • Experience with ERP, ATS, CRM, project management, or workforce planning platforms.
  • Previous experience preparing and presenting executive-level reports and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
