Job Description:
Position Summary
The Inside Sales Project Manager combines technical sales support, cost estimating, and project management to grow the wet cast forming division.
This position champions responsibilities starting at initial customer inquiry through project completion. The Inside Sales Project Manager works closely with customers, outside sales representatives, Engineering, Operations, Planning, and Procurement to develop accurate quotations, manage project execution, ensure profitability, and deliver a positive industry leading customer experience.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, outside sales representatives, Engineering, and Operations, ensuring customer requirements are clearly communicated, and projects move efficiently through the sales and manufacturing life cycles.
  • Evaluate customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements to develop accurate equipment recommendations, cost estimates, quotations, and proposals for standard and custom equipment solutions.
  • Develop and communicate quotations, technical solutions, project updates, and recommendations to customers and sales representatives through phone, virtual, in-person meetings, and trade shows.
  • Facilitate customer kickoff meetings and ongoing communication among internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project milestones, schedules, deliverables, and customer expectations.
  • Manage opportunities through order execution by maintaining accurate data within CRM, CPQ, and ERP systems; coordinating order entry and ensuring complete project documentation is maintained and transferred to Engineering and Operations.
  • Manage project change orders and evaluate impacts to scope, cost, schedule, and customer expectations while maintaining project profitability.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve estimating tools, pricing resources, quote templates, product documentation, and related business processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance commercial excellence through improved sales tools, marketing content, customer-facing materials, product rationalization, and market feedback that support business growth and improve win rates.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business/Finance, Construction Management, or a related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in technical capital equipment sales, estimating, project management in manufacturing or construction, cost accounting or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to develop conceptual equipment solutions.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprint specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with experience developing cost estimates and pricing.
  • Experience with CRM, CPQ, and ERP systems; Salesforce and Infor LN experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to customers and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
