Job description

Join our team as a leader in our fun, engaging, and active Kid Zone Department! Help Y families thrive by providing a welcoming and enriching drop-off childcare space for children ages 6 weeks to 9 years old.
The Kid Zone Coordinator oversees and supports daily and weekly operations in the Kid Zone, including supervising other Kid Zone staff, creating purposeful and fun activity plans, and organizing monthly special events for families. The Coordinator will also serve as a role model Kid Zone attendant, working directly alongside other staff to engage children and their parents. Requirements include a minimum of 2 years of childcare experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and First Aid and CPR certification (within 90 days of hire). The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a broad range of ages of children, have previous experience as a supervisor, have a welcoming demeanor and good customer service skills, possess the ability to multi-task, and have flexibility to assist with vacancy/call-out coverage for daytime, evening, and Saturday morning hours.
This is a 20-25 hour per week position, with benefits including a FREE family membership, YMCA program discounts, flexibility to bring children to work as needed, and a positive and staff-centric work culture.
