What is a fun manager?

Fun Managers are professionals responsible for creating and organizing enjoyable activities and events within a company or organization. Their main goal is to boost employee morale, foster team building, and enhance workplace culture by planning social events, games, and celebrations. Fun Managers often work closely with human resources and leadership teams to ensure activities align with the company's values and engage all employees. Their role can vary from organizing small in-office events to planning large corporate retreats or themed parties.

To thrive as a Fun Manager, you need strong event planning, organizational, and leadership skills, often supported by experience in hospitality, recreation, or HR. These abilities ensure successful execution of morale-boosting activities that enhance employee satisfaction and retention.

Job description

Capital markets are undergoing a fundamental shift. Assets that live in fragmented systems and manual workflows are moving onto blockchains -systems designed to move and store value more transparently and efficiently.
While this unlocks more open and programmable financial systems, it also introduces significant complexity. For most users, interacting with this new infrastructure is still too difficult.
Fun builds the infrastructure that powers consumer-facing fintech applications - handling onboarding, account access, and money movement so users can interact with blockchain-based systems as seamlessly as they do with traditional finance.
For fintech builders, Fun provides a best-in-class onboarding and deposit stack that drives conversion and unlocks user growth. We operate at the intersection of financial infrastructure, complex engineering, and product experience.
About the Role:

We're looking for a People & Culture Associate to join our growing People team and help us scale thoughtfully. This is a hands-on, high-impact role spanning employee experience, events, operations, and people analytics. You'll partner closely with our Head of People & Culture to build a culture people are proud of, keep our operations running seamlessly, and use data to make smarter people decisions. This role will report directly to our Head of People and Culture.
What You'll Do

Culture & Engagement

  • Support the design and execution of our onboarding experience so every new hire hits the ground running and feels welcomed from day one

  • Design and execute programs that reinforce our company values and foster a strong sense of community

  • Drive key projects including performance cycles, engagement surveys, org design and growth updates

People Analytics

  • Track and analyze key people metrics - attrition, headcount, engagement, DEI, and more - and translate the data into clear narratives and recommendations for leadership

  • Build and manage reporting dashboards to support leadership decision-making

  • Partner with the Head of People & Culture to develop and present people insights to the C-suite on a regular cadence

  • Support ad hoc people projects with data-driven insights

People Strategy & HR Operations

  • Work cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure smooth day-to-day people ops

  • Identify gaps in our operational workflows and proactively build solutions before they become problems

  • Assist in building and refining HR policies, processes, and programs as we scale

  • Serve as a knowledgeable, empathetic point of contact for employee questions and HR-related matters

Change Management & Organizational Transitions

  • Support leaders and employees through organizational changes, ensuring communications are clear, timely, and considerate of the human impact

  • Help design and implement change management frameworks that minimize disruption and maintain trust during periods of transition

  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure people considerations are embedded in major business decisions from the start

What We're Looking For

  • 4-6 years of progressive HR or People & Culture experience, ideally within a high-growth startup or tech environment

  • A genuine passion for culture and people, with the ability to balance empathy and structure in equal measure

  • Strong analytical skills - you're comfortable building a dashboard and presenting it to leadership, and you know how to tell a compelling story with data

  • Experience supporting or leading change management initiatives, with an understanding of how to bring people along through ambiguity

  • Solid generalist HR foundation, including familiarity with core HR operations, employee relations, and people programs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a thoughtful, professional tone that earns trust at all levels

  • Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams without losing sight of the details

  • Comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving environment where ambiguity is the norm and resourcefulness is a must

  • Curiosity about Web3, blockchain, or crypto (you don't need to be an expert, but you need to want to learn)

  • Proficiency with tools like Notion, Google Workspace, Slack, Ramp, and an HRIS platforms

$145,000 - $175,000 a year

This role has a base salary range of $145,000 - $175,000, shared in accordance with NYC pay transparency guidelines. We aim to pay top-of-market and benchmark compensation regularly to remain highly competitive within our industry. In addition to base salary, we offer a strong total rewards package that may include equity ownership, performance incentives, and comprehensive benefits. Compensation is tailored by level, with offers based on impact, experience, and skillset, while maintaining internal equity across the team.

Why Join Us:

Shape the future of payments and programmable money

Work with bleeding-edge tech in a domain where innovation moves fast

Join a mission-driven team focused on access, openness, and trust

Be a key contributor, not just a cog-your work will ship fast and matter

Collaborate with top-tier protocols, builders, and financial infrastructure providers

This role is primarily in-person at our Midtown, NYC headquarters. We work together Monday through Thursday for fast, iterative collaboration and optional WFH Fridays to reset and recharge.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
