Business Analytics Intern

AArete Interns work closely with clients to understand critical issues and develop strategies for meaningful change. You'll leverage your analytical skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to excellence. We're looking for critical thinkers with exceptional communication skills who are eager to dive deep into business challenges, data analytics, and business case development to drive project success.

In this role, you'll demonstrate your analytical abilities and support the successful execution of project goals and deliverables. You'll have the chance to make a significant impact by addressing unique business challenges in both client and internal projects.

Work you'll do

  • Collaborate with project teams to collect, clean, and analyze data that supports strategic recommendations
  • Build dashboards and visualizations within BI platforms to help teams and clients make informed decisions
  • Use tools like Microsoft Excel, SQL, Snowflake and visualization platforms to uncover trends and identify opportunities
  • Support in building business cases, financial models, and actionable insights for clients
  • Work with healthcare clients to analyze data, solve problems, and develop efficient solutions
  • Present findings in a clear, simple way to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Work closely with other interns on a pro-bono consulting project for a non-profit organization
  • Partner with Analysts, Consultants, and Managers to solve real-world business challenges
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education & Eligibility

  • Current undergraduate student entering either their third year of a4-yeardegree program or in the fourth year of a 5-year program(Spring 2028 Grad)
  • Minimum3.0cumulative GPA
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
  • Must be able to spend the summer in our downtown Chicago office, in office daily during the dates of June 7 - August 13, 2027

  • Solid foundation in Microsoft Excel and SQL
  • Demonstrated passion for continuous learning and staying current with industry trends and technologies
  • Ability to approach problem-solving with logical and analytical thinking
  • Capable of understanding business and project goals to craft and deliver meaningful solutions to our clients
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and SQL, with the ability to further develop and apply these skills
  • Knowledge of open-source Data Science applications such as R and Python
  • Works effectively both independently and in group settings
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism through clear communication, reliability, and the ability to represent AArete effectively with peers, senior leaders, and clients

Preferred Requirements

  • Degree/Major in Business Analytics or related field
  • Prior internship or project experience involving healthcare data, healthcare analytics, or healthcare organizations
  • 3.3 or higher cumulative and major GPA
  • Relevant work experience, including internships, summer positions, or part-time jobs
  • Active involvement in university clubs or organizations related to business, analytics, or technology

Compensation

The estimated pay rate for this position is $33 / hr. Please note that this estimated rate is a guideline and individual total compensation may vary due to numerous factors including but not limited to experience level, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
