An Associated Insurance Internship is the first step to a career with tremendous growth potential.


Program Description


Associated Insurance internships are 10 weeks long, based out of our Rolling Meadows, Illinois headquarters, and offer hands-on experience across a variety of departments:

  • Commercial Insurance Lines – Middle Market
  • Personal Insurance Lines
  • Life Insurance Lines
  • Group Benefit Insurance Lines 

Each internship will play a valuable role in the department’s functions and activities, and every intern will report to an experienced team member within their respective department. In addition to the on-the-job insurance exposure and training, each intern will participate in:

  • Departmental Overview Training – Classroom style training on all aspects of each department that comprise Associated Agencies
  • Career Development Training – Online training on the basics of an insurance agency, commercial, personal, and group benefit insurance lines. Additionally, robust online training on Microsoft 365 Essentials. Combined with classroom style training on various topics and career paths within the insurance industry. Plus, offsite visits to our carrier partners within the Chicagoland area
  • Mentorship – A paired program and ability to connect with multiple Associated Leadership Team Members 
  • Engagement Events – Various FUN engagement events, for example, ice cream socials, food trucks, Associated Company picnic, Top Golf, Cubs Game, philanthropic activities and much, much more
Requirements:
  • Rising Juniors or Seniors, with an expected graduation year of 2028 or 2029, currently enrolled in a relevant degree program with a major in Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, and Business Administration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively
