Job description

The International School of Portland is hiring for 2026 Summer Camp!
We are looking for multiple experienced, enthusiastic, and creative Seasonal Full time Specialist Teachers to join our team for Summer 2026. Specifically we are looking for Dance SpecialistsWe'd love to hear from you!
ISP Summer Camp immerses all campers (age 3- 10 years old) in Spanish, Chinese, or Japanese language and culture. In addition, we offer specialist classes to add variety, fun and enrichment to our summer camp program. Specialist classes are taught in English. DATES 2026:
Specialists may work in one, two, or all three sessions.
  • Session 1 - June 22nd - July 3rd
  • Session 2 - July 6th - July 17th
  • Session 3 - July 20 - July 31st

(All Specialists must participate in training in May and/or June.)
HOURS: 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday
PAY RATE: per 2-week session, depending on experience
  • (>5 yrs at camp) $2,420
  • Returning Specialist Teacher $2,365
  • New Specialist Teacher $2,123

CAMP DISCOUNT: Camp staff will receive a discount off of Summer Camp enrollment fees for eligible children
General Summary
Full-time seasonal positions reporting to the Summer Camp Director, Specialist Teachers provide fun, active additions to this dynamic summer camp. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to planning and implementing curriculum and submitting lesson plans; teaching specialist classes; supervising children and ensuring their safety; and communicating with Camp Director and other camp staff.
Qualifications:
  • Eligible to work in the USA
  • Teaching certification, or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of experience working with children age 3-12, preferably in a camp or school setting
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Support the mission and vision of The International School of Portland (https://intlschool.org/)
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, creativity, responsibility, and a passion for teaching young learners
