About the Role:
Discovery School House in Leicester, MA is looking for a passionate and nurturing Toddler Teacher to join our team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children in a fun, active, and supportive environment. If you love working with toddlers and have a heart for early childhood education, we'd love to meet you!

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans for toddlers
  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care
  • Foster a nurturing, stimulating, and positive classroom environment
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development and daily updates
  • Support toddlers with daily routines including meals, nap time, and hygiene
  • Observe and document children's developmental milestones and progress
  • Collaborate with fellow staff to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in early childhood education, daycare, or toddler care preferred
  • Knowledge of toddler development and age-appropriate teaching strategies
  • Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with young children
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet state childcare licensing requirements
  • Completion of the EEC essential trainings 
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • High school diploma required; degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education a plus
  • EEC teacher certification preferred
