Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations that explore clients’ mental health histories, presenting issues, and personal goals, leading to tailored therapeutic approaches.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions focusing on a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety disorders, depressions, trauma recovery, and adjustment disorders.
  • Collaboratively develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based practices, ensuring measurable outcomes for clients.
  • Deliver timely crisis intervention to clients experiencing acute mental health crises, facilitating immediate support and safety measures.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health-related topics, offering coping strategies and information regarding community resources to bolster their support systems.
  • Maintain detailed, confidential records of client assessments, treatment progress, and outcomes, while adhering to ethical guidelines and state regulations.
  • Exhibit cultural competence in service delivery, ensuring sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds and experiences of each client.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals within a multidisciplinary team, sharing insights and developing comprehensive care strategies for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse clientele in the Boston area, ranging from children and adolescents to adults and seniors, each presenting unique challenges. Our clients come from various cultural, socioeconomic, and personal backgrounds, which enriches the therapeutic experience. As a mental health counselor, you will tailor your approaches to meet the specific needs of each individual, facilitating a space for healing and growth.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or applicable licensure.
  • A minimum of three years of direct experience in providing outpatient mental health counseling services.
  • Proficient clinical skills in performing therapy sessions with a focus on evidence-based methodologies.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills that foster strong therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • A deep sense of empathy and the ability to engage clients effectively in their healing process.
  • Commitment to ethical and professional standards within counseling practice.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
