Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions via telehealth to address clients' relational and mental health concerns.
• Conduct detailed assessments to understand clients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Employ innovative therapeutic techniques, including family systems theories and systemic interventions, to tackle issues such as communication breakdowns and family stressors.
• Offer immediate support during crisis situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans, in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Facilitate workshops or educational sessions that teach clients effective communication, conflict resolution, and stress management strategies.
• Regularly engage in professional development activities to stay current on evidence-based practices in marriage and family therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist will work closely with a varied client demographic, including adults, children, and adolescents. Clients may seek assistance for a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and familial challenges. Your role will directly impact their overall quality of life, enabling them to develop healthier coping mechanisms and improve their interpersonal relationships.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Maryland.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
• At least three years of relevant experience providing therapy services is mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills that foster trust and effectiveness in therapy.
• Commitment to ethical practices and maintaining client confidentiality in all professional matters.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to manage a diverse schedule that accommodates client needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience providing outpatient therapy services is preferred, particularly in a virtual setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems to manage client documentation would be beneficial.
• Previous experience working with diverse populations is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer:
