Summary Description: This position is primarily responsible for the sale of tennis equipment, apparel, footwear and accessories to meet our customers needs, merchandising our products to attract interest and assisting with inventory control while continuing to provide the best-in-class guest service.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet all customers in the store
  • Learn and implement proper footwear fitting techniques
  • Learn and implement custom racket stringing and re-gripping services
  • Operate the cash register to complete the sale
  • Be on-time for your scheduled work-shift, with proper and clean appearance
  • Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques
  • Be energetic, motivated, and possess the ability to multi-task
  • Merchandise the store by stocking shelves, counters, or tables with products
  • Demonstrate the desire to succeed and grow within the company
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A thorough understanding of tennis including equipment, fundamentals and trends
  • Retail customer service and footwear knowledge preferred
  • Friendly, outgoing and comfortable working with people
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in accurate spoken and written English
  • Must be able to stand and move for extended periods
  • Must be able to routinely lift merchandise, packages and other items of at least 50 pounds and climb ladders on an occasional basis
  • Basic computer skills are required
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet store needs, including holidays, nights and weekends
  • Experience with POS systems preferred
