About Goddard: The Goddard School is a leader in the child care industry, providing high quality early education to children. We believe in education through play and we focus on STEAM activities. Our approach in the classroom is based on widely-accepted research that indicates that children experience the deepest, most genuine learning when they are having fun. Our highly-trained teachers foster the cognitive and social development of each child by lovingly guiding the class through play-based activities. Our school is open from 7 am and 6 pm.

At this time we are seeking part and full time teachers for a variety of classrooms. Our center serves children aged from 6 weeks until they turn 6 years old. If you are a passionate person, with excellent experience and a strong sense of ownership and responsibility in the classroom, we welcome you to apply.

Age groups: (6 weeks to 5 years old)

A teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally they responsible to work together with all teachers and in conjunction with the entire faculty and have a love for teaching young children.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment for all children in your care.
  • Planning, documenting and implementing curriculum (depending on position)
  • Advance children's physical and intellectual competence.
  • Support each child's social and emotional development and provide positive guidance.
  • Establish positive and effective family relations.
  • Daily electronic and verbal communication with parents.
  • Ensure an effective program, responsive to children's needs.
  • Maintain professional commitment.

Qualifications:

  • Meet state requirements for childcare center teacher including but not limited to: STARS basic certificate, DCYF trainings, cleared background check through merit, Negative TB, MMR immunization, CPR/FA/BBP, Severe Allergy Training Certificate, Food Handlers Permit, etc.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Stackable certificate, Associates degree, Bachelors degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or related field.
  • Candidate currently taking or interested in talking ECE courses (Not a mandatory pre-requirement)
