Description
An Engineer I is an entry-level position on the path to becoming a Project Engineer or Design Engineer. You will work under the supervision of a manager and an experienced project engineer. You will be responsible for creating detailed designs, drawings, and technical documentation for mechanical components of a project. While working under the supervision of a senior colleague, you will also contribute to live engineering projects in order to help project teammates complete the work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Become a contributing member of a team of engineers, designers, and drafters.
2. Develop insight into engineering duties concerning the design of conveyor systems.
3. Acquire knowledge of codes, standards and specifications associated with material handing design.
4. Develop proficiency in the use of 2D and 3D CAD Software.
5. Perform ballooning and dimensioning of drawings as assigned.
6. Provide technical design support to engineering and field teams.
7. Review drawings and check for errors prior to customer review.
8. Prepare detailed reports to demonstrate technical progress and accomplishments on projects.
9. Fulfill any other tasks assigned by the business.
Requirements
Qualifications
โ€ข Minimum: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
โ€ข Experience: 0 - 1 year (internship preferred if under 1 year)
โ€ข Familiarity with MS Office plus 2D and 3D CAD Software (Inventor, Revit, and AutoCAD preferred, but not required)
