They work for companies or organizations on a standard full-time schedule, typically 40 hours per week. Their responsibilities can include writing code, troubleshooting issues, collaborating with other team members, and staying updated with new technologies. Fulltime roles often provide benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a fulltime software developer?

To thrive as a Fulltime Software Developer, you need proficiency in programming languages (such as Java, Python, or JavaScript), problem-solving abilities, and typically a degree in computer science or a related field. About Lucid

At Lucid, we are creating an electric future without compromise. That means refusing to choose between performance and sustainability, design and engineering, ambition and integrity. We build world-class vehicles by pushing performance, efficiency, and design beyond industry limits, setting new standards with vehicles like Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity.

The people here, engineers, designers, operators, and builders, came from across industries and around the world because they wanted to work on a harder problem. They care deeply about mastering their craft and delivering work they're proud of. We trust you to take ownership, push beyond what is expected, and help write the playbook for what comes next.

By refusing to settle, you help shape the future of electric mobility and prove what's possible when craft and ambition refuse to compromise each other.

This individual will play a critical role in connecting real-world customer experiences with engineering solutions, ensuring software issues are prioritized, resolved, and prevented from recurring.

Success in this role means improving vehicle software quality, reliability, customer satisfaction, and OTA deployment success by ensuring field software issues are rapidly identified, accurately diagnosed, and effectively resolved.

Cross-Functional Technical Interface

Work closely with Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, ADAS, Validation, Service Engineering, Diagnostics, and Product teams.

Translate customer complaints and field observations into actionable technical problem statements.

Provide field-driven prioritization input for software quality improvements.

Monitor field performance of software releases and OTA deployments.

Identify emerging risks following software launches and major feature updates.

Validate effectiveness of software fixes after deployment.

Support release readiness reviews and risk assessments.

Data Analytics & Field Insights

Analyze warranty claims, service repair data, telematics information, customer feedback, and software diagnostics.

Identify recurring failure signatures and software-related customer pain points.

Quantify customer impact and prioritize quality actions based on risk and frequency.

Issue Management & Escalation

Manage software-related field issues through the complete lifecycle from detection to closure.

Support executive quality reviews by providing technical assessments and field impact analysis.

Track issue progression across software versions, vehicle programs, and system architectures.

Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions

Partner with engineering teams to identify root causes and validate corrective actions.

Differentiate between software defects, integration issues, calibration concerns, and hardware-software interaction problems.

Verify effectiveness of corrective actions through field monitoring and validation activities.

Customer Experience Improvement

Drive reduction in repeat service visits related to software behavior.

Improve customer experience through better issue detection, diagnostics, and recovery strategies.

Support continuous improvement of software quality metrics and field performance.

What You Bring

Required
