Job description

Community hospital affiliated with Brown University Health seeks a full-time radiologist to serve as Chief of Radiology for its hospital-based practice in the Providence, RI area. This leadership role combines clinical practice, administrative oversight, and an academic affiliation with Brown University.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for radiology services across multiple community hospital sites.
  • Oversee quality, safety, efficiency, and patient-centered imaging delivery.
  • Manage staffing, budgets, equipment acquisition, and technology adoption (PACS, RIS, modalities).
  • Establish and monitor quality metrics, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and teach trainees and faculty in affiliation with Brown University.
  • Collaborate with hospital and system leadership to expand service lines and clinical programs.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO; Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency.

  • Demonstrated radiology leadership experience (e.g., section chief, medical director).
  • Strong knowledge of hospital operations, quality metrics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
