Quality Assurance | Full-Time, Hourly | On-Site | Waxahachie, TX

Shifts: Night Shift: Monday-Thursday 4pm-2:30am (Mandatory OT as needed);

Weekend Shift: Friday-Sunday 6am-6:30pm (Mandatory OT as needed)


Training Period: Day Shift: Mon-Thursday 6am-4:30pm (Mandatory OT as needed)

About the Role

As a Quality Control Inspector II, you will verify that parts, assemblies, and finished products conform to engineering drawings, specifications, and AS9100D/ISO 9001 quality standards. You'll take the lead on First Article Inspections, work with precision measurement equipment including CMMs, and support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts โ€” helping ensure every product that leaves our facility meets the highest standards of quality.

What You Will Do

  • Quality Compliance: Follow established quality control processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Inspection Execution: Perform first-part, in-process, and final inspections of parts, assemblies, and finished products to verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Dimensional Verification: Perform dimensional inspections on cases and frames, verifying inside, outside, and overall dimensions.
  • Documentation Review: Review and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality documentation.
  • First Article Inspection: Perform First Article Inspections on all required parts and record results in accordance with AS9100D or Americase specific Quality Management Systems.
  • Equipment Calibration: Use, maintain, and keep accurate records of calibrated inspection, measurement, and test equipment, including CMMs, calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and other instruments as required.
  • Inspection Documentation: Document inspection results using AS9102 First Article Inspection forms, work travelers, and Net-Inspect software.
  • Nonconformance Reporting: Identify and report nonconforming material; assist in separating and documenting nonconforming product using Nonconformance Report (NCR) forms.
  • Root Cause Support: Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts related to quality issues.
  • Vendor Inspection: Inspect vendor-supplied products to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Additional Support: Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience with sheet metal and/or machining precision fabrication, plus 2+ years of quality inspection experience within a high-volume production, manufacturing, metal fabrication, or precision manufacturing environment.
  • Quality Systems Knowledge: Working knowledge of AS9100D / ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Blueprint & GD&T Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Tool Proficiency: Proficient in the use of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and height gauges.
  • FAI Documentation: Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9102 documentation preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including experience with Excel, Word, and quality software systems.
