Job description

Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Primary Function: Three Rivers Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support our industrial process piping fabrication and construction projects. This individual will be responsible for verifying that fabrication and installation activities comply with project specifications, ASME B31.3, applicable welding codes, and company quality manual. The position will work closely with project management, shop personnel, field supervision, customers, and third-party inspectors.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality inspections on industrial process piping fabrication and installation.
  • Verify compliance with ASME B31.3, project specifications, welding procedures, and applicable codes.
  • Review fabrication drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and customer specifications.
  • Conduct visual weld inspections and dimensional inspections.
  • Verify materials, heat numbers, MTRs, and material traceability.
  • Coordinate and document NDE activities.
  • Perform final walk-downs and turnover inspections.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, and turnover packages.
  • Identify nonconforming work and assist with corrective actions.
  • Work with project teams to resolve quality issues while maintaining project schedules.
  • Interface professionally with customers and third-party inspectors.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of industrial quality inspection experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASME, AWS, NBIC codes.
  • Experience with industrial construction, chemical plants, refineries, or similar facilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret piping isometrics, P&IDs, fabrication drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of welding processes, welding inspection, and NDE methods.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred Certifications:
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred
  • Experience with ASME B31.3 inspections
  • Additional certifications such as API, ASNT, or NCCER are a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in shop and field environments.
  • Ability to climb ladders, walk industrial sites, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions when required.
