Software Engineering Manager- Full Time
Location: Boxborough, MA, 01719
What you will be doing:
- Write high quality C++ code using QT SDK.
- Maintain proficiency with the Linux operating system, particularly Redhat.
- Understand and work with TPC/IP client/service technology and RESTful web services.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the software development team.
- Prepare lifecycle for different projects inclusive of research, development, design, and evaluation.
- Establish software development standards and processes.
- Lead quality design reviews.
- Supervise resource allocation and establish staffing goals.
- Prepare and track schedules based on business priorities.
- Enhance the functionality, performance, and scalability of product suite.
- Research new technology and tools to improve product and processes.
- Provide time and effort estimates related to engineering effort.
Experience you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
- A minimum of 15 years of technical experience in high-tech software development.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience managing software development teams.
- Strong multitasking skills.
- Agile Scrum experience.
- Experience in SQL and familiarity with database design and theory.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design.
- Experience with various networking protocols (SSH / TCP/IP).
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Artifactory, SVN.
- Ability to complete DHS Public Trust Background Check.
- Ability to obtain a government clearance.
- Must be able to maintain a US Passport and be willing & able to travel at short notice to customer sites, including international travel.
