JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior OpenShift/Kubernetes Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and management of a container orchestration platform across on-prem and cloud environments. This role is responsible for designing scalable, secure, and resilient OpenShift clusters. This role will partner with cross-functional IT teams and Architects to design and implement OpenShift to support the organization's overall business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of the Red Hat OpenShift global environments (on-premises and/or cloud) to ensure the delivery of a secure, resilient and high-performing workload management platform

  • Partner with applications, infrastructure and security teams, as well as manufacturing stakeholders to create a standardized and scalable container platform to drive workload deployment consistency.

  • Develop automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.

  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to support cloud-native applications.

  • Build, configure, secure, maintain and manage RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating systems on enterprise servers.

  • Working knowledge on system administration with virtualization technologies.

  • Document and cross-train teammates on cluster design/implementation.

  • Platform ownership - develop, own, and drive the roadmap for OpenShift.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in IT, with substantial experience (5+ years) in a senior-level administrator role focused on OpenShift or Kubernetes technologies.

  • In-depth knowledge of container technologies, Linux systems, networking, and cloud platforms.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.

  • Strong skills in scripting and automation tools (Bash, Ansible, etc.)

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact appropriately with management, other Team Members and delivery partners of different backgrounds and levels of experience.

  • Success in this role requires proven ability to lead infrastructure implementations, define operating model and promote/drive adoption through clear standards and self-service capabilities.

  • Proven experience leading infrastructure platform initiatives (design a build a migrate/adopt a operate).

  • Experience implementing container security controls across hybrid/multi-cloud environments.

  • Ability to design high-availability and disaster recovery strategies based on application requirements

  • Planning for scale while optimizing cost

PAY RANGE:

$90,039.00 - $139,561.00

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate.
