Applications Administrator | Wartburg College | Waverly, IA 
At our partner institution at Wartburg College 
The Applications Administrator will provide application administration for supported Applications.  The Applications Administrator is responsible for the implementation, support, training, and ongoing maintenance of applications used throughout the university. The position provides application expertise and works closely with users and enterprise systems analysts to support performance, availability, and integration with other enterprise systems.  The specific areas of focus include, Higher ed ERP and Learning Management System and other applications.  This position is full-time and is located at a Dynamic Campus’ client in . The Applications Administrator position reports directly to the Technology Director. 
Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Hours may vary.  Remote.
Responsibilities: 
  • Installation and testing application upgrades and necessary configuration changes 
  • Monitor applications to ensure proper performance and availability 
  • Collaborate with and lead user committees through process and business decision activities related to academic and administrative systems 
  • Meet with users as necessary to understand evolving needs and requirements of academic and administrative applications 
  • Develop detailed project plans that specify goals, time frames, limitations, risks, contingencies, staffing, and other resources 
  • Provide system configuration, training and usage guidance to applications users as needed 
  • Provide analysis, problem solving support, and technical guidance to provide efficient and effective use of enterprise systems in support of institutional goals and objectives 
  • Provide maintenance and problem resolution support 
  • Provide timely communication and discussion with users about impact of necessary changes or system updates 
  • Provide consistent and current communication and reports to management 
  • Implement and adhere to test plans and change management procedures 
  • Establish technical and implementation standards to ensure the long-term, cost-effective management and support of the currently implemented academic applications 
  • Provide technical support for vendor upgrades and maintenance 
  • Maintain security and access for academic applications 
  • Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork and records 
  • Maintain detailed up-to-date technical and operations documentation 
  • Other duties as assigned 
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Instructional Technology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training 
  • A minimum of three years of experience working as an applications system administrator.
  • Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of Learning Management Systems
  • Preference given to candidates who have working knowledge of the Jenzabar ERP.
  • Experience with Slate CRM is preferred
  • Preference given to candidates who have working knowledge of researching, maintaining, documenting, and implementing integrations via flat files and/or APIs from ERP data
  • Project management training or equivalent project management experience 
  • Display strong end user orientation and customer service skills 
  • Strong understanding of technical troubleshooting methodology 
  • Demonstrated excellence in teamwork as well as excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed 
  • Orientation to detail and thorough documentation 
  • Ability to work with a range of technical staff to develop joint solutions
