Job Summary

The Systems Administrator is a mid-level IT professional responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing enterprise systems and infrastructure. This role installs, configures, and troubleshoots operating systems, servers, and applications while ensuring system performance, security, and uptime.

Let's talk job responsibilities:

  • Document Management & Compliance:
    • Ensure proper document capture, classification, retention, and retrieval in accordance with SEC and FINRA requirements.
    • Support audit readiness and regulatory examinations.
  • Integrations & Data Management:
    • Manage integrations with CRM platforms, custodians, and clearing firms.
    • Ensure data integrity across systems.
  • Maintain and support operating systems, servers, and enterprise applications
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, recovery, patching, and upgrades
  • Install, configure, and test software, hardware, and system components
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Provide technical support to users and escalate complex issues when needed
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, reliability, and availability
  • Manage server environments (Windows, Linux, or cloud-based systems)
  • Support network and infrastructure initiatives, including upgrades and enhancements
  • Ensure systems adhere to security protocols and compliance standards
  • Maintain system integrity and protect against vulnerabilities
  • Maintain technical documentation (configurations, procedures, troubleshooting guides)
  • Develop and improve operational processes and standards
  • Work with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Act as a subject matter expert for assigned systems and applications
  • Support projects such as system upgrades, migrations, or implementations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience in system administration or IT support
  • Strong understanding of identity lifecycle, provisioning, and deprovisioning
  • Hands-on experience with Docupace or similar systems.
  • Strong understanding of broker-dealer/RIA operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks and legal hold requirements
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, Redtail, Wealthbox).
  • Knowledge of custodians (Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing).
  • Process improvement experience.
