  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and implementing complex system modifications within controlled, configuration-managed environments.
  • Strong experience with secure software development, debugging, logging, exception handling, vulnerability remediation, and security-control implementation.
  • Experience designing and executing unit, integration, regression, interface, performance, security, and production-readiness testing.
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications with WebSphere middleware, DB2 databases, and underlying Windows/Linux infrastructure.
  • Ability to perform advanced diagnostics and code-level root cause engineering and to provide Level III escalation support.
  • Experience with source control, build and release management, configuration baselines, change control, patch/update validation, and deployment verification.
  • Working knowledge of RMF, Assessment and Authorization, continuous monitoring, authorization evidence, and DoD/Air Force cybersecurity compliance.
  • Experience supporting backup/recovery, resilience, COOP, disaster recovery, test-data protection, and emergency corrective actions.
  • Strong technical documentation, peer-review, problem-solving, stakeholder-coordination, quality-control, and communication skills.
  • Active IA System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I, DoD 8140 System Administrator, and 632-Intermediate

Duties:
  • Analyze mission, functional, technical, cybersecurity, interface, and sustainment requirements and translate them into implementable software designs and engineering changes.
  • Design, develop, modify, integrate, debug, and sustain FMWF application components and associated services in accordance with approved technical baselines.
  • Evaluate requested system modifications, identify dependencies and risks, develop corrective engineering solutions, and maintain usability within evolving technical environments.
  • Perform secure software engineering and implement applicable security controls, least-privilege practices, auditability, error handling, data protection, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain controlled development and test environments, including configuration management, patch validation, test data management, and secure backup of development data.

  • Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel on RMF controls, vulnerability remediation, authorization evidence, assessment findings, and continuous-monitoring requirements.
  • Provide Level III technical escalation support through advanced diagnostics, log analysis, debugging, code-level root cause analysis, and fault isolation.
  • Support routine lifecycle sustainment, emergency corrective engineering, COOP, disaster recovery, and mission-continuity activities.
  • Support implementation and short-term sustainment of newly deployed capabilities and transition stable solutions into operations.
  • Participate in configuration reviews, readiness reviews, engineering change management, technical reviews, and QASP performance activities.
  • Develop and maintain source code, build/deployment materials, interface documentation, design records, test plans/results, release notes, configuration records, and operating procedures under version control.
