Job Duties:
Daily animal husbandry to include feeding, administering medications, and general cleanliness.
Inventories of animals and medications.
Working outside.
Repairing fences and equipment.
Supervision of inmates.
Riding horses.
Overseeing a poultry operation to include feeding, cleaning, and crating eggs.
Overseeing a swine finisher operation to include feeding, cleaning and loading pigs.
You'd be a GOOD fit if:
You have relevant education, experience, and training.
You have graduated from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
You have experience in livestock production, livestock production agriculture programs, crop production, crop production agriculture programs, or farm equipment management.
You'd be a GREAT fit if:
You have Graduated from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED and three years fulltime, wageearning experience in livestock production, livestock production agriculture programs, crop production, crop production agriculture programs, or farm equipment management and repair.
You have construction, maintenance, or farm equipment management and repair experience.
You have knowledge of livestock management methods and techniques to include safe and effective handling, feeding, and maintaining animal health.
You have knowledge of agricultural facilities construction and repair methods and procedures.
You have knowledge of production and safe handling of various livestock commodities.
You have knowledge of feed production and inventory control practices and technique
You have a background in caring for cattle and horses.
You have experience riding and training horses.
You have swine experience
You have a background in caring for cattle and horses.
You have experience riding and training horses.
You have experience in a swine operation.
You have experience in a poultry operation.
You are selfmotivated.
