Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Quality Analyst Level 2 to join our team in Utah. This position requires regular on-site availability at our Bacchus facility in Magna, Utah


The Quality Analyst - MRB Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely administrative processing of nonconformances through the Material Review Board (MRB) process. This role focuses on entering, routing, and maintaining highquality nonconformance records; supporting MRB engineers and quality leadership; and ensuring compliance with applicable procedures, customer requirements, and quality standards.

The successful candidate will be detailoriented, processdisciplined, and comfortable working in data systems and crossfunctional production environments.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Key Responsibilities:

MRB Administration & Nonconformance Processing

  • Create, review, and maintain nonconformance records (NCRs) in applicable MRB/quality systems.
  • Ensure all required information (e.g., defect description, hardware identification, work order/lot info) is complete, accurate, and properly coded.
  • Route nonconformance records to appropriate MRB authorities (engineering, quality, materials, etc.) for review and disposition.
  • Host MRB meetings with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure proper communication and movement of the process.
  • Monitor MRB queues and aging, escalating issues or delays as needed to support timely closure.

Data Integrity & Documentation Control

  • Maintain traceability and audit trails for nonconformance records in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Perform data quality checks to identify and correct errors, missing fields, or misclassifications.
  • Prepare and organize MRB documentation for internal and external audits, reviews, and customer requests.

Metrics, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement

  • Collect and maintain MRB metrics (e.g., NCR volume, defect categories, cycle time, open backlog).
  • Support analysis of nonconformance data to identify trends and recurring issues.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts focused on MRB workflow, documentation quality, and cycle time reduction.
  • Provide feedback on forms, templates, and system configurations to improve usability and data quality.

CrossFunctional Support

  • Work closely with engineers, quality engineers, manufacturing, supply chain, and program teams to resolve documentation questions and clarify MRB requirements.
  • Communicate MRB status and priorities to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Support training of peers and new team members on MRB processes, forms, and systems as requested.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 0 years of professional experience. 6 years of equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree per company guidelines.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Experience in quality, manufacturing, production control, configuration management, or similar data/documentationfocused role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and ability to learn sitespecific MRB / nonconformance systems (i.e SmartSolve).
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 20pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) or nonconformance management processes in an aerospace/defense or regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and standards (e.g., AS9100 or ISO 9001).
  • Ability to interpret basic technical and quality documentation (e.g., travelers, work instructions, inspection records, engineering change notes).
  • Prior experience generating or maintaining metrics, dashboards, or reports using Excel, Tableau, PowerBI or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
