Why join JEMMS-Cascade?

JEMMS-Cascade is looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer/Machinist who wants to do more than run repetitive production parts.

For over 35 years, JEMMS-Cascade has designed and manufactured specialty nutrunner attachments and engineered fastening solutions used around the world. Engineering and manufacturing work together under one roof, giving machinists direct access to the people designing the products they manufacture.

You’ll program, set up, prove out, and machine complex precision components using Eurotech and Okuma CNC lathes. The work includes challenging setups, gear-related components, live tooling, Y-axis machining, and opportunities to improve tooling strategies, cycle times, and overall part quality.

This is a stable, first-shift opportunity for a CNC machinist who takes pride in owning a job from blueprint through finished part.

⚙️ What you’ll be doing

  • Program, set up, prove out, and operate Eurotech and Okuma CNC lathes
  • Produce precision components from blueprint through final inspection
  • Program complex gear-related parts and specialty machined components
  • Select tooling, workholding, fixtures, and machining strategies
  • Set offsets and make program adjustments at the machine
  • Work directly with Engineering to solve machining challenges
  • Improve machining processes to reduce cycle times and improve quality
  • Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
  • Troubleshoot tooling, setup, programming, and quality issues
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area

  • Complex, precision machining—not repetitive production work all day
  • Engineering and manufacturing located under one roof
  • Opportunity to program and own jobs from setup through final part
  • Exposure to live tooling, Y-axis, gear cutting, and multi-axis machining
  • Tuition reimbursement and opportunities to develop new skills
  • Long-term career growth for motivated machinists

✅ What we’re looking forRequired

  • 2+ years of CNC lathe machining experience
  • CNC programming experience
  • Ability to independently set up and prove out CNC lathe jobs
  • Strong blueprint-reading skills
