Job description

Salary: $18-$24 per hour, depending on credentials and experience

Counseling Services of New York (CSNY) is an OASAS (New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services) licensed 822 non-intensive outpatient chemical dependency counseling clinic. Our approach to treatment combines targeted counseling that is truly flexible to meet the ever-changing needs of individuals, with emphasis on rebuilding healthy relationships to promote success in many life areas.

CSNY is hiring a full-time on-site Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor(CASAC)to work the following unique schedule:

  • 11:00AM to 7PM, Monday through Friday. (Hourly position,and includes overtime compensation for any hours over 40 per week)

  • Develop and maintain key relationships with outside service providers.
  • Become proficient in evidence-based practices to improve treatment outcomes and overall success.
  • Be part of a true team of clinicians who work together to share time and ideas in a truly collaborative environment.

Qualifications must include at least one of the following:

  • Current and Valid CASAC-T, CASAC, CASAC-2, or CASAC A credentialsssued by the Office, or a comparable credential, certificate or license from another recognized certifying body as determined by the Office). May include CASAC Trainee (CASAC T)
  • Bi-lingual Preferred (English and Spanish)
  • Addiction counseling: 2 years
