Parts Delivery Driver - Milford, DE

We are seeking a professional, skilled individual with a great attitude for our Parts Delivery Driver position. If you are looking for a way to combine your safe driving skills and your ability to deliver great customer service, this is the position for you! You will be responsible for delivering bus and truck parts to our commercial customers utilizing our Company vehicle. You will load, unload and deliver product to customer locations and fill in as backup for warehouse staff as needed. This is a full time position working Monday - Friday.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous and responsible manner.
  • Physically loads Company vehicle and verifies the condition of the truck, the manifest and other paperwork associated with the deliveries to be made.
  • Secures all loads to ensure safe delivery of parts.
  • Coordinates the delivery route with all other parts employees.
  • Delivers parts to customers including unloading parts from vehicle at designated stops.
  • Picks up return parts and cores from customers as needed.
  • Efficiently performs daily delivery route to minimize delivery time.
  • Collects payment from customers as needed, following Company policies for cash and charge transactions.
  • Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry as required.
  • Follows all company policies, procedures, dress code and management direction, including all fleet and safety policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a clean / safe driving record
  • Previous route delivery driver experience preferred but not required
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:

This position requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing and ascending/descending stairs. Requires sitting for relatively long periods of time, while driving. It also requires frequent bending, climbing, movement and lifting of up to 75 pounds during physical loading/unloading of trucks and when stocking products.
