Job description

Job Summary:

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the impound area by monitoring vehicles, controlling access, and enforcing auction and facility policies. This role plays a critical part in protecting customer property, ensuring a secure environment, and supporting impound lot operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Monitor entry and exit points to ensure only authorized personnel access the impound lot
  • Conduct regular patrols of the impound area to check for security breaches, damage, or suspicious activity
  • Verify vehicle documentation during release or intake processes
  • Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, and visitor interactions
  • Respond quickly and professionally to security concerns or emergencies
  • Collaborate with impound staff to facilitate smooth intake, storage, and release of vehicles
  • Ensure impound lot gates, fences, and locks are properly secured at all times
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unusual activities to management immediately
  • Assist with traffic control in and around the impound lot during peak times
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
