Job description

Job Summary:
PlanIT Group is seeking a Windows Engineer / Packager to support our Federal customer in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will have strong automation, scripting, and packaging skills for administration, automation of processes, and issue resolution.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and test automated scripts and processes for software deployment and data gathering
• Deployments to distributed systems
• Maintain infrastructure with latest updates and patching
• Research, design, and recommend solutions to meet requirements
• Provide support and troubleshoot issues quickly
• Develop and document processes and procedures
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong automation, scripting, and packaging skills for administration, automation of processes, and issue resolution
• Must have experience authoring scripts using PowerShell 5 and batch
• Must have experience performing remote deployments and integration of Windows 10 or 11 systems in a distributed environment
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 Operating Systems
• Strong knowledge of SCCM/MECM (Configuration Manager)
• Working knowledge of networking concepts and secure protocols
• Working knowledge of Microsoft’s Active Directory and Group Policies
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to develop clear and concise documentation
• A minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years’ relevant experience
• A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check
• All candidates must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
• Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members)
Preferred:
• Working knowledge of Tanium is desirable (not required)
