They inspect welds to verify they meet specific codes, standards, and project requirements, often using visual assessments and specialized testing equipment. These inspectors work full-time, typically on construction sites, manufacturing plants, or fabrication shops, and must have a thorough understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety regulations. Their role is crucial to maintaining structural integrity and compliance with industry standards.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a full time welding inspector?

To thrive as a Full Time Welding Inspector, you need a thorough understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and industry codes, typically supported by certifications such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent.
