Job description

Job Title: Dye Jet Operator
Location: Maiden, NC
Shifts Available:
3rd Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (may require OT)
Pay Rate: Starting at $16.00 per hour (after training will increase to $17.00)
Job Summary: The Dye Jet Operator prepares and runs jet dyeing machines to color fabrics by controlling machine settings such as temperature, pressure, and speed. This role ensures consistent, high-quality production through careful monitoring, inspection, and maintenance of equipment.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepare dyeing machines for production runs and conduct test runs to ensure proper operation.
· Load fabrics, yarn, or thread into machines and add dyes, water, and chemicals according to established formulas.
· Oversee the dyeing process by observing display screens and equipment, monitoring factors like temperature, tension, speed, and dye flow rates to ensure they remain within specified ranges.
· Inspect finished products to identify defects or variations from quality standards.
· Adjust equipment controls, perform basic maintenance, and notify supervisors or mechanics of malfunctions or repair needs.
· Record operational and production data accurately.
· Communicate with supervisors, mechanics, and quality control personnel to ensure a smooth workflow and resolve issues promptly.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Previous experience operating dye jet or similar textile machinery preferred but not required.
· Ability to operate and control machinery and adjust equipment settings precisely.
· Attention to detail to identify defects and maintain quality standards.
· Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
