Accounting Project Supervisor- Redlands, CA

Department: Accounting
Reports To: Senior Accounting Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Employment Type: Full-Time


Job Summary

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Accounting Project Supervisor to join our accounting team. This position will serve as a key member of the project management team and provide support to the Senior Accounting Manager and various Accounting and Administrative departments.

The Accounting Project Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and supporting company projects, tracking project budgets and equipment deliveries, working with vendors and Distribution Center (DC) teams, assisting with audits, and ensuring projects and assigned tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, strong Microsoft Office experience, and an understanding of warehouse and manufacturing processes. Experience with SAP accounting systems and MRP manufacturing systems is preferred.

This position requires independent judgment and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with employees and management at all levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support Accounting projects by partnering with local Distribution Center and corporate/DC teams to understand project scope, requirements, timelines, and follow-up needs.
  • Meet with local and Distribution Center teams regarding current, upcoming, and ongoing projects.
  • Take a proactive approach to project coordination, identifying needs, potential issues, and required next steps.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure project equipment needs and requirements are met according to established project plans.
  • Coordinate and follow up with vendors and internal contacts regarding equipment, deliveries, project requirements, and timelines.
  • Manage special requests and projects in support of Accounting and other Administrative departments.
  • Assess and diagnose project or departmental needs and determine appropriate next steps.
  • Assist with auditing Distribution Centers to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and processes.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and tracking information.
  • Update project budgets and equipment delivery tracking as needed.
  • Communicate with individuals responsible for the various requirements and deliverables associated with each project.
  • Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding tasks, equipment, deliveries, and requirements.
  • Execute assigned tasks accurately and efficiently using company software and systems.
  • Ensure procedures are properly developed, documented, maintained, and updated as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, organization, communication, and project execution.
  • Communicate project updates, concerns, and requirements to the appropriate management teams.
  • Travel to Distribution Centers and other locations as needed to support project requirements.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting projects, accounting operations, administrative functions, warehouse operations, or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of warehousing and manufacturing processes strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with Distribution Centers or multi-site operations is a plus.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn and utilize company software and systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with SAP accounting systems preferred.
  • Experience with MRP manufacturing systems preferred.
  • Experience with project budgeting and tracking preferred.
  • Experience with vendor management and equipment coordination is a plus.
  • Previous experience in accounting, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, or Distribution Center operations is highly desirable.
