System Administrator (Full-Time, Onsite)
Blue Ridge Mountain EMC - Young Harris, GA
Support and strengthen the systems behind a regional utility. You'll manage servers, virtualization, and enterprise platforms while ensuring performance, security, and reliability across the organization.
What You'll Do
  • Maintain and configure servers, systems, and virtualization environments
  • Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies
  • Manage storage, capacity planning, and database performance
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and SQL environments
  • Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software
  • Support network infrastructure, firewalls, and security systems
  • Document systems, configurations, and processes
  • Assist with audits, backups, and ongoing system improvements

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's in a computer-related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of system administration experience
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365, SQL Server, and Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux OS, and desktop systems
  • Experience with virtualization, SAN/storage, and system automation
  • Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Understanding of networking and security fundamentals
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Work Environment
  • Combination of office and field work in all conditions
  • On-call rotation and occasional nights/weekends
  • Physical work includes lifting equipment and working with hardware
