Position Details

Role: Veterinary Receptionist
Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule:  Tues - Fri 7:30 am - 6 pm & 2 Saturdays a month

Colleyville Animal Clinic is seeking an upbeat and energetic Full-Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our established practice. Our reception team plays an essential role in that commitment by creating a welcoming first impression, coordinating appointments, supporting communication, and helping each hospital visit run smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and a positive attitude
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients by phone and in person
  • Answer and manage multiple incoming phone calls efficiently
  • Record, route, and follow up on client messages
  • Schedule appointments, procedures, surgeries, and boarding reservations
  • Check patients in and out for appointments, surgery, and boarding
  • Maintain accurate client and patient information in Cornerstone Veterinary Software
  • Create and update appointments within the hospital's scheduling system
  • Communicate appointment instructions and hospital policies clearly
  • Coordinate with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and boarding team members
  • Help maintain an efficient flow of information throughout the hospital
  • Process payments accurately and provide receipts
  • Review invoices and respond to basic client questions
  • Perform end-of-day financial and administrative procedures
  • Protect confidential client and patient information
  • Help manage client expectations during busy periods
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
  • Provide compassionate service during routine, urgent, and emotional situations
  • Support teammates and assist with other administrative responsibilities as needed

What You'll Bring

  • Previous veterinary reception experience preferred
  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, healthcare, or a busy front-office setting is a plus
  • Familiarity with Cornerstone Veterinary Software is preferred but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
