WHAT ARE THE HOURS?
This is a full-time role requiring flexibility, with a typical shift of 10:00 AM-10:00 PM, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as rotating shifts based on hospital needs.
WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?
As our Veterinary Pharmacy Technician, you'll accurately review and process prescriptions and prepare medications for critical patient care. You'll work closely with veterinarians and technicians to ensure every dosage and label meets high standards. Managing the Cubex dispensing system, you'll monitor inventory and collaborate with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels. By handling prescription requests through EzyVet and supporting compliance standards, you'll ensure medication safety and efficiency throughout the hospital.
IS THIS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU?
  • Current LVT or licensed pharmacy tech
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, sterile compounding principles, and dosage calculations
  • Experience with medication preparation and handling
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy inventory systems and automated medication dispensing systems (Cubex experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work around veterinary patients
