Job description

Savannah Riverboat Cruises is seeking a dependable and versatile General Maintenance Technician to help maintain our vessels, facilities, and grounds. This hands-on position involves a variety of maintenance, repair - including mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, electrical. Also includes cleaning and general upkeep of the vessel and surrounding areas to ensure our property remains safe, clean, and operational.

Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on vessels, docks, buildings, and equipment.
  • Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
  • Clean and maintain vessels, facilities, work areas, and public spaces.
  • Remove trash, debris, and other materials from vessels and company property.
  • Pressure wash, paint, and perform routine upkeep projects.
  • Move supplies, equipment, and materials as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • General maintenance, custodial, construction, mechanical, or related experience required. 2+ years in each industry preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of general hand and power tools.
  • Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to help wherever needed.
  • Will need to pass a pre-employment drug test and background test.
  • Excited to work on the iconic Savannah Riverboats - Georgia Queen amp; Savannah River Queen

Schedule

  • Full-time position.
  • Must be available to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and special events as needed.
