This opportunity entails being responsible for the creation and design of a variety of multimedia content and applications. This role interfaces and collaborates with an team to provide visual communication strategies and solutions design for a variety of engagement projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Creates graphic designs, information graphics, user interface designs, motion graphics, and basic front end web designs that ensures ease of navigation and clearly communicates abstract concepts.
  • Designs a variety of multimedia content for projects from videos, photos, audio and clip art using software applications, techniques, and tools.
  • Creates 3D models, textures, effects, materials and animates objects for virtual environments and graphic design
  • Plays an active role in all aspects of the creative team design process including identifying user needs, requirement definitions, and storyboarding.
  • Interfaces with an interdisciplinary multimedia development staff, including close development work with content development staff.
  • Helps with taking all forms of photography and video.
  • May interview clients and quickly sorts out project requirements to determine appropriate visual, textual, and animated elements of the project.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Associate degree in Visual Communications, Art, Graphic Design, or related field and 3 years relevant experience, or
  • In lieu of education, 5 years relevant experience preferably in transportation, engineering, architecture, or multimedia industry

What You'll Bring:

  • Working knowledge of multimedia design software (e.g. experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and apps such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, in addition to Figma) to produce multimedia content and solution designs
  • Demonstrated experience with branding and logo design
  • Creative eye for customer experience and visual storytelling
  • Ability to independently develop high-quality, creative and innovative products for a variety of transportation projects

What We Prefer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications, Art, Graphic Design, or related field
  • Interested in or experience with digital accessibility (WCAG requirements)
  • Experience with using AI tools as part of the design process
