Job description:

JOB DESCRIPTION: Underground – Directional Driller and Locator

This is a full-time position where the experienced qualified candidate should be able to interpret signals from underground transmitters about location, angle, temperature, and other factors for the drill operator as well as handle the drill.

Salary can be negotiable, depending on experience.


Requirements:

Education / Certification:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Company will provide industry training and certifications if not already secured.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • CDL is a plus.

Experience:

  • Prior directional drilling/locator experience valued but not required.

Technical Skills:

  • Direct the locating of utilities to avoid utility strikes.
  • Ensure that vaults are set according to specifications.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
  • Ensure that pipe/cable is placed in accordance with depth and location specifications.
  • Ensure that all MISS-DIG laws are always followed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to always follow all safety requirements.
  • Ability to life 75lbs unassisted.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools.

Other:

  • Available to work 40 hours per week and willing to work overtime when required.
  • Willing to travel if needed and willing to work in all-weather conditions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised as well with a team

Job Type: Full-time
