Operations Manager

Richmond Express Courier Service and Warehousing is seeking a professional, customer-focused, and driven Operations Manager to join our growing team!

What You'll Be Responsible For

As Operations Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring Richmond Express delivers safe, reliable, efficient, and exceptional service while supporting the success and development of our employees.

  • Oversee the daytoday operations of an ondemand courier and logistics company
  • Work closely with department managers and team leads to ensure operations consistently meet Richmond Express standards
  • Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and support to operational teams
  • Keep customer service at the center of daily operational decisions and customer interactions
  • Support fleet and operations teams in delivering a positive experience for every client
  • Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, reliability, and profitability
  • Utilize strong criticalthinking and problemsolving skills to identify challenges and develop effective solutions
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures that prepare teams to meet company expectations and changing business needs
  • Provide insight, coaching, feedback, and accountability to help employees and departments achieve performance expectations
  • Support account management efforts by maintaining strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for customer satisfaction, retention, growth, and profitability
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, employees, vendors, and department leaders
  • Support sustained growth and performance improvements across all departments
  • Help ensure safety, reliability, efficiency, accountability, and quality remain priorities throughout the organization

  • Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience
  • Operations management experience preferred
  • Warehouse, transportation, courier, or logistics experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong administrative knowledge and experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamdevelopment abilities
  • Strong criticalthinking and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fastpaced environment
  • Good working knowledge of the Richmond area
  • Valid driver's license
