As Fervo expands its commercial project portfolio across North America, transmission strategy and interconnection execution are critical to enabling project delivery and long-term asset value. The Transmission & Interconnection team leads the development of grid & BTM integration strategies, interconnection pathways, and transmission solutions that support Fervo's growing deployment pipeline.
The Transmission & Interconnection Manager position will lead the strategy, evaluation, and execution of behind-the-meter interconnection activities across Fervo's project portfolio. This role will serve as a key member of the Transmission & Interconnection team, supporting customer-facing interconnection efforts, transmission analysis, and grid integration strategy for commercial geothermal projects.
This role will own the development and standardization of behind-the-meter interconnection requirements, coordinate directly with utilities and customers, and support projects from early-stage feasibility assessment through agreement execution and operational readiness. This role operates at the intersection of technical execution, commercial development, and transmission strategy.

  • Identify and evaluate utility rules, technical requirements, and implementation pathways for behind-the-meter generation opportunities
  • Lead interconnection activities for behind-the-meter projects, including application strategy, utility coordination, technical study review, and agreement execution
  • Serve as Fervo's primary interface with customers and external stakeholders for behind-the-meter interconnection activities

Transmission & Power Delivery Analysis

  • Prepare and support transmission service applications and evaluate OASIS data, congestion risks, and transmission availability
  • Assess transmission-related market dynamics, including nodal basis exposure, LMP pricing impacts, and interregional transmission opportunities
  • Support evaluation of strategic transmission development and multi-party transmission participation opportunities

Technical & Cross-Functional Support
  • Provide technical support for surface facility design and grid connection requirements
  • Coordinate closely with Development, Engineering, Commercial, and external utility stakeholders to support successful project execution
