Job description

RVE (an Ardurra company) is seeking a Construction Inspection Manager to join our team in Secaucus, New Jersey.
Our Construction Inspection team provides comprehensive oversight and technical expertise to help clients successfully deliver infrastructure and capital improvement projects from pre-construction through completion. Serving as trusted partners and owner's representatives, our professionals ensure projects remain compliant with contract requirements, regulatory standards, schedules, and quality expectations while protecting our clients' interests throughout every phase of construction.
Our multidisciplinary team includes licensed Professional Engineers and NICET-certified Resident Engineers with specialized certifications in concrete inspection, corrosion protection, asphalt technologies, and traffic control. Supporting projects across transportation, water, wastewater, municipal, and land development markets, we provide resident engineering, construction inspection, contract and grant administration, and program management services to help clients minimize risk, maintain quality, and deliver successful projects on time and within budget.
Primary Function:
The Construction Inspection Manager is a proven team leader in the construction field and has over 15 years of experience in Civil and Infrastructure construction projects. The individual's experience should be in overseeing and managing both projects and a team of construction inspectors and contract administrators. This position is a supervisory and construction management role and will be directly responsible for all construction operations for the Secaucus Regional Office. This individual will manage and supervise a staff of construction inspectors and will collaborate with engineering project managers and administrative staff. This position will report directly to the Regional Manager. Supervised staff shall be responsible for successful inspection and contract administration of a diverse variety of projects. Such projects shall include the rehabilitation and replacement of municipal roads, underground utilities (drainage, sanitary sewer systems, combined sewer systems, potable water systems), park and recreational facilities, private land development. This individual will also collaborate with other company inspection managers for occasional overlap with water/wastewater projects and vertical/building projects.
Primary Duties:
  • Design to construction phase transition coordination with design team including constructability reviews during design phase and assumption of project responsibility from preconstruction conference through project close-out.
  • Responsible for project construction phase planning, staff assignments, coordination with other departments and offices to balance dynamic construction scheduling needs (resource planning) and hiring.
  • Continued quality control of all payment certifications.
  • Lead and promote daily communication across Inspection teams and timely communication with design team and clients as needed
  • Identify, scope and administer field changes for unforeseen conditions including change order cost and schedule negotiation
  • Implement staff development protocols, including skills training and certifications
  • Application and enforcement of company policies
  • This is a full-time supervisory position of a construction inspection team

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Two-year technical or associate's degree in construction technology or construction management are a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven leadership capabilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with inspection software, Microsoft Office Suite and related programs
  • OSHA Certifications 10/30 preferred

Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $94,000 - $122,200 annually.
