Description
Position Description
The Senior Calibration Technician (Electronic/RF) position performs calibrations at a high level in (IM&TE) inspection, measurement, and test equipment in DC/Low Frequency, RF/Microwave, and Time & Frequency disciplines, and uses at least a base knowledge of Mechanical and Thermodynamics.
Responsibilities
  • Perform calibrations and adjustments on (IM&TE) inspection, measurement, and test equipment in the following disciplines DC/Low Frequency, RF/Microwave, Time & Frequency, and some Mechanical and Thermodynamics.
  • Maintain both primary and secondary calibration standards.
  • Adapt calibration standards and knowledge to measure unique and one off test equipment.
  • Collect calibration data, and record information on data sheets. Complete calibration data sheets and certificates, including out of tolerance conditions.
  • Working independently without direct supervision at both the in house calibration lab, as well as, the customers facility.
  • Clearly communicate calibration issues and procedures with customers and coworkers on the phone, in person, and through email.
  • Train and supervise fellow junior technicians in use of standards and calibration procedures.
  • Other duties and responsibilities.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • year of commercial calibration lab experience is a plus.
  • Military PMEL or TMDE training is a plus.
  • Civilian or Commercial calibration experience is a plus.
  • Experience with ISO 17025:2017, ANSI Z540.1, and ANSI Z540.3 is a plus.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, and current drivers license required.
  • Basic mathematics including Algebra.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in Excel is preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently to accomplish daily workload.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance.

Work Environment
  • Work performed both in local laboratory and at the customers facilities.
  • Per Diem and all accommodations included
