Job description

Our client is seeking a remote SAP Basis Engineer/Application Support Engineer. This is a full time opportunity. US Citizens only.

Salary range is DOE $130K-$150K plus full benefits.

Overall:

Application Support Engineers are responsible for providing technical support to client SAP basis systems. They are responsible for the technical aspects of enhancing, updating and deploying critical changes, designing new solutions, and creating procedures in the SAP area. They will report to the Principal Director of Application Support.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience as an SAP Basis engineer in a service provider or advanced IT organization operating in a 24/7 environment
  • Solid background administering the SAP HANA database
  • Understanding of SAP security principals
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ansible preferred
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools
  • Familiarity with agile engineering practices (Kanban, continuous delivery, etc.)
  • AWS and Azure service usage on commercial or government cloud
  • Development experience with a high-level language such as python or java a plus
  • Experience with Sybase ASE a plus
