Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java based service and apps  that automate provisioning and lifecycle management of High-Speed Data (HSD), Voice, and IPTV services across multiple vendor platforms and network technologies (HFC, GPON, XGS-PON).
  • Build and support integrations between billing, customer management, provisioning, and network systems using REST APIs, messaging platforms (Kafka/AMQ), LDAP, and vendor-specific interfaces to enable automated service activation, suspension, upgrades, equipment swaps, and disconnect workflows.
  • Analyze business and operational requirements to implement provisioning workflows that support customer orders, technology migrations, service changes, device management, and troubleshooting across multiple broadband and voice platforms.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, network engineering teams, and third-party vendors to design, test, deploy, and support provisioning solutions while ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Investigate production and development issues, and develop enhancements that improve automation, reduce manual processes, and increase the accuracy and speed of customer service delivery.
System Details:
  • Our provisioning platform is a suite of Java based applications and services that automate the activation, modification, suspension, and disconnection of High-Speed Data (HSD), video, and voice services for Sparklight customers. The platform consists of multiple integrated components that process customer orders received from upstream billing, translates those requests into provisioning actions, and orchestrates service delivery across downstream network and vendor platforms.

Skills:
  • Experience developing in JAVA utilizing Spring Boot
  • Experience developing with REST and SOAP based API's
  • Experience developing and deploying systems in OpenShift and/or similar container technologies
  • Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines
  • Experience working with SQL databases
 
Additional Skills:
  • Familiarity with Telecom related phone switch platforms like Momemtum or Metaswitch
  • Familiarity with CPE device provisioning for Cable modem and PON devices
  • Familiarity with IP based video provisioning
