Summary

The Beverage Department Supervisor oversees the following areas Cabaret Bar, Cabaret Service Bar, Tree Bar, Restaurant Row Service Bar, Fairway Service Bar, Pool Bar and Pool, Hotel Lobby, Elements, the entire Casino Floor, Golf Course Beverage Carts, Maze Stone Grill and Maze Stone Bar and all of Banquets & Banquet bars at both properties. They are responsible for supervising and administering day to day operations in the beverage department and assist other Food & Beverage outlets when needed.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of new ideas in guest service.
  • Service training and product enhancement.
  • Mentoring, and evaluating staff
  • Interview and hire new employees
  • Assist in training of new employees
  • Assigning and directing daily tasks
  • Overseeing deep cleaning and weekly cleaning of the various outlets
  • Adding an extra hand where needed behind the bars or servicing drinks on the casino floor, filling in as a bartender when needed.
  • Rewarding and disciplining employees.
  • Addressing complaints; resolving problems in accordance with department policies
  • Maintain Cashier responsibilities which include voids, and other POS needs
  • Assist in taking orders or may serve food and beverage to guests as needed
  • Oversees opening and closing of each bar and checks out staff as they leave each shift.
  • Conduct pre-shifts to inform team members of what is going on and uniform checks
  • Assist in covering food outlets in absence of the manager or supervisor for that location
  • Conduct month end inventory and complete regular inventory checks of all locations on both properties
  • Complete orders from vendors to warehouse and the other direct outlets to ensure product arrives and maintain par levels so that there are no items out of stock
  • Track employee hours to ensure full time team members are working the correct number of hours and part time team members are not going over part time hours.
  • Completing department transfers and stock request from warehouse to bars and from bar to bar as needed using the inventory control system
  • Conducts reviews, corrective actions, and tracking attendance
  • Operate and supervise all banquet bars for special events this includes set up, clean up, ordering and staffing for the entire event for any event in banquets with a bar.
  • In charge of keeping banquet bar records, stock and product while maintain a secure area for storage.
  • Must oversee all removal of product from the warehouse after hours
  • Assist with time-keeping and payroll while overseeing proper time-keeping procedures.
  • Complete pass down logs and inventory logs on daily basis.
  • Maintain floor rotations and bar rotations of staff to ensure all locations are covered as needed
  • Responsible for all guest service related issues and resolving them in a timely manner.
  • Occasionally may be assed to go from one property to the other to assist in day to day operations
  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of equipment necessary to the outlet areas.
  • Ensure excellent communication between outlets and all other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, Gaming Commission regulations, and internal controls.
  • Formulate and administer special events, menus and promotions in the various outlets
  • Develop annual goals/ objectives and formulate a plan to execute them.
  • Instruct in operation procedures, policies, and guest relations.
  • Ensure excellent quality product and service is delivered.
  • Assist Beverage Assistant Manager and Beverage Manager, as needed.
  • Staying visible on and accessible at all times while on shift, communicating with co-workers and team members to ensure the floor runs smoothly
  • Keeping updated on their direct reports, ensuring they have a valid TIPS card, Riverside County Food Handlers card and started the renewal process for their badge in a timely manner
  • Beverage supervisors are the only Food & Beverage Supervisor on grave and are required to oversee Koffee Kiicha between grave hours on occasion.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Assist hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals


Education / Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age, or older.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Minimum one (1) year Beverage experience, required.
  • Minimum one (1) year Supervisor experience, required.
  • Customer Service background with heavy customer interaction.
  • Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.


Certificates, licenses and registration

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license
  • Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Riverside County Food Handler Certificate within seven (7) days of date of hire.
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certified, or able to obtain certification within 60 days of date of hire.
