Job Description:

$10,000 Sign On Bonus

Work Schedule: 3p- 11:30pm. One call week required every 10 weeks.

  • Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient safety.
  • Reviews patient history and screens all patients for MRI safety compliance, including contraindications such as implanted devices, metal, claustrophobia, and contrast allergies.
  • Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions to promote comfort and cooperation.
  • Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.

  • Ability to follow Basic Radiation Safety concepts of time, distance, and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patients and staff [Required]
  • Ability to perform MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail [Required]
  • Excellent customer service skills [Required]
  • Ability to deal efficiently, ethically, and courteously with all patients and hospital personnel [Required]
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical personnel that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the organization [Required]
