Junior Mission Systems Operator
Location: Huntsville, AL and overseas customer location

Brief Job Description:
The Junior Mission Systems Operator supports the operation and monitoring of mission systems utilized in logistics and operational environments. This position assists in the operation of tactical radios, data links, communications systems, and other mission equipment associated with platform solutions. The Junior Mission Systems Operator works closely with platform operators, logistics personnel, and support teams to maintain system readiness and ensure mission systems effectively support operational requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate mission systems, including tactical radios, data links, communications equipment, and related technologies in support of mission requirements.
- Support logistics and operational missions through the effective use of mission systems and communications equipment.
- Monitor system functionality during operations and report issues affecting performance or mission execution.
- Assist with maintaining operational readiness of mission systems and associated equipment.
- Coordinate with platform operators, maintenance personnel, and support staff to ensure mission system availability.
- Document operating status, mission system activities, system discrepancies, and operational support actions.
- Support troubleshooting efforts and assist with system adjustments during mission execution.
- Maintain familiarity with system interfaces, operating procedures, and mission requirements.
- Assist with pre-mission, mission, and post-mission system checks and reporting.
- Ensure mission systems are operated safely and in accordance with established procedures and requirements.
- Participate in training activities to develop mission system knowledge and operational proficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- 0โ2 years of experience supporting communications systems, mission systems, military operations, logistics operations, information systems, or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or technical training preferred.
- Basic understanding of communications equipment, tactical systems, or mission support operations.
- Ability to learn and operate mission systems in dynamic operational environments.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior military service or experience supporting Department of Defense programs.
- Experience with tactical communications equipment, radios, data links, or networked systems.
- Familiarity with operational, logistics, aviation, maritime, or ground-based mission environments.
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Electronics, Communications, Aviation, Logistics, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of troubleshooting communications or mission systems.
Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to: bending, reaching, climbing, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. Must be able to lift, move, and transport items frequently over 10 pounds.
Work Environment:
Generally, work is conducted in an inside office environment, but may also involve some outside work depending on the task. The inside environment may be in an office or cubicle with close quarters, low to moderate noise, and bright or dim lighting. Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates and while on travel.
