Job Details:

Position : Med-Surg Certified Nursing Assistant

Location : Portland, OR 97216.

Facility Type: Long Term Care (LTC)

Shift : 12 HR (Day Shift)

Contract : 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • Must be certified as a nursing assistant
  • Must have BLS/CPR
  • Experience with SNF/LTC preferred.
  • Must be COVID Vaccinated.

Responsibilities:

  • Observe patients for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing staff.
  • Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and observations.
  • Collect specimens such as urine or stool, as directed.
  • Keep patient rooms clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Practice infection prevention and follow isolation precautions when required.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests.
  • Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families.
  • Assist nurses with routine procedures and prepare equipment as needed.
  • Ensure patient safety by implementing fall-prevention measures and maintaining a safe environment.
