Job description

Full Time Supermarket Security Officer 

Site: Weehawken, NJ  

Available Shifts: 

Monday to Friday 0800-1600(40 hours) 

Saturday and Sunday 0800-1600 with Monday to Thursday 1600-2200 (mixed shift,40 hours) 

Pay rate: $18.00

Job Duties:

  • Patrol premises on foot regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers/shoppers
  • Maintain a professional strong presence during hours of operation
  • Responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, or other criminal behavior. 
  • Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
  • Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
  • Secure all exits, doors after end of operations

Requirements:

  • Valid SORA license or willing to obtain 
  • High School Diploma/GED 
  • Must be 18 years or older 
  • Ability to remain on feet for extended shifts 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills are required 
  • Must be reliable, self-motivated, and flexible 
  • Must be available to work Weekends and Holidays
  • Fluent in English language (reading, writing and speaking)
